Many of the animals we rescue come from Caribbean islands where stray populations are high and access to veterinary care can be limited.

We work with trusted rescue partners and organizations to help transport dogs and cats to safety where they can receive medical care and be placed in loving homes.

Yes. All animals receive appropriate veterinary care before adoption. This typically includes vaccinations, health checks, spay or neuter procedures when appropriate, and microchipping.

Our goal is to ensure every animal is healthy and prepared for life with their new family.

To adopt, you will need to complete an adoption application. This helps us understand your home, lifestyle, and the type of dog that would be the best match for you.

Once an application is reviewed, our team may contact you for additional information and to discuss the adoption process.

In many cases, yes. Dogs that are in foster homes may be able to meet potential adopters before finalizing an adoption.

Our team will help coordinate the process whenever possible.

Depending on the situation, we may work with adopters outside Nova Scotia. Our goal is always to find the best possible home for each animal.

If you are located outside the area, please contact us to discuss options.

Absolutely. Fostering is one of the most valuable ways to support rescue animals.

Foster homes provide temporary care and help animals adjust to home life while we search for their forever families.

There are many ways to support our work:

  • Fostering animals
  • Volunteering your time
  • Donating to support veterinary care and rescue trips
  • Sharing adoptable animals and rescue stories on social media

Every act of support helps us save more lives.

You can follow us on social media or subscribe to updates on our website to hear about new rescues, adoptable animals, and upcoming events.
